‘Neo-Turquerie’ is an art style wich was created till 2023 year of 21st century in İstanbul by artist painter YULIA ALIZADE. This style is a result of inspiration by one of oriental styles ‘Turquerie’, wich means the Turkish fashion in Western Europe from the 16th to 18th centuries for imitating aspects of the Ottoman Empire’s art and culture. Such incredible artist painters as Jean-Baptiste van Mour, Jean-Étienne Liotard, Jean-Leon Gerome created collections of paintings in Turquerie. In music, Orientalism may be applied to styles occurring in different periods, such as the alla turca, used by multiple composers including W.A.Mozart. At that time this fashionable phenomenon became more popular through trading routes and increased diplomatic relationships between the Ottoman Empire and Europe.
Yulia Sezen Alizade - is a Turkish artist of Azeri origin, was born in Şişli (center district of Istanbul). She got education abroad in Moscow, UK, the USA and Türkiye. As a painter, graphic designer and short film director, she represents Türkiye on local and international festivals and exhibitions. She also manages researches as an art historian, educator and do art consultantion. Yulia Alizade works in symbolism art style and officially created 'Neo-Turquerie' style.

The main theme of this painting is the creativity and realisation of a woman.
Playing the violin for a woman is a symbol of determination and fidelity to your dreams.
The composition is multiplaned: in the background we see the outlines of Constantinople in the distance; then the city, with the houses, which we see better; far away is the garden belonging to the houses; balcony; a room where the woman plays the violin.
The cat here is a symbol of involvement to the mystical moment of the night (the plot just happens at a time when moonlight takes us to the unique world of the night).

Looking at this picture, we see not only a luxuriously dressed woman in the Neo-Turquerie style. Here we see the presence of a mirror - a symbol of truth, self-realization, wisdom, reason, soul, a reflection of the supernatural and divine intellect, a clearly shining surface of divine truth, a higher intellect, reflected in the Sun, moon and stars. The rich decoration of the room, the dress of a simple cut is combined with an ermine fur cape: The influence of a woman in the world is very strong. Here the woman, as if in a dialogue with the viewer, but thought for a second. Defenitelely in this moment we notice her womeness.
